Hi:
I am getting a tattoo and would appreciate any help. I want to make sure I have a correct spelling for the word "Warrior" in both Scots and Scottish Gaelic/Gàidhlig.
And, if you have al moment, could you explain to me in general terms the differences of the two languages (Scots and Scottish Gaelic/Gàidhlig)? I wasn't aware that there was a language simply called "Scots" but found information on the web indicating that this is a language unto itself.
Thank you so much for your assistance.

Warrior --> Scottish Gaelic : laoch (ao sounds like "ir" in "bird", but more closed; ch is the German guttural Ach-Laut).
Scottish Gaelic is a Celtic language, close to Irish. It is spoken in the Scottish Highlands and in the Hebrides Islands (off the western coast of Scotland: Lewis, Harris, Barra, Uist, Skye, etc).
(Braid) Scots is a Germanic language close to English, with Norse elements and some Gaelic ones as well. It is spoken in the Scottish Lowlands (Southern and Eastern Scotland). And, if you have al moment, could you explain to me in general terms the differences of the two languages (Scots and Scottish Gaelic/Gàidhlig)?
