Sanskrit intonation patterns

Post by pc2 »

salutations,

we are willing to start working in a Text-To-Speech (speech synthesizer) system for Sanskrit which uses the MBROLA TTS engine, by using an existing diphone database.

for that we would like to have some valuable information about the Shiksha Vedanga (Vedanga, not Vedanta), which treats about the phonology of Vedic Sanskrit, and of course the Chandas Vedanga, which treats about Vedic meter.

so we would like to know more information about the Sanskrit intonation system, and the Mantra chanting intonation patterns (those of Chandas Vedanga: Gayatri, Anushtup, etc.), for proper intonation of Sanskrit (in preference, Classical Sanskrit).

merci d'avance,
Merci de corriger notre français si nécessaire.
