Translate quote to Sanskrit for tattoo!

Post by strawberrycurls4 »

I am wanting a new tattoo and I am quotation freak! If someone could help me translate the following quotes to Sanskrit I would appreciate it so much! Thanks!

Never regret what once made you smile.

The brave may not live forever, but the cautious do not live at all.

He who controls others may be powerful, but he who has mastered himself is mightier still.

Choosing the lesser of two evils is still choosing an evil.

I have not failed, I have just found many ways that do not work.

To believe is to know that life is a miracle and all that we dream of is within our reach.

Fear is nothing but the anticipation of pain.

Some day I'd like to understand why is everybody choosing Sanskrit for their tattoos... :-o

Nothing personal strawberrycurls4, but we get so many requests like this.

I guess it just looks "cool" or "spiritual"...
Time is an illusion. Lunchtime doubly so.

we only translated, by ourselves, there two phrases, because we didn't get the meaning of the other phrases very well... we are not fluent in English.

The brave may not live forever, but the cautious do not live at all - कदाचिद् न नित्यं जीवति धीरो व्यक्तम् तु न जीवत्यात्मवन्। kadācid na nityaM jīvati dhīro vyaktam tu na jīvatyātmavan |

He who controls others may be powerful, but he who has mastered himself is mightier still - महन् परं यच्छति यः सस्तु महत्तरस्तं एव नियच्चति यः सः। mahan paraM yacchati yaH sastu mahattarastaM eva niyaccati yaH saH |

well, we don't know either... we, personally, don't like things like tattoos, but surely we like to translate phrases to Sanskrit.
