"shop" in non european languages

Post by eclipse5 »

Please can anyone tell me what the noun "shop" is in any non-european languages and scripts — to go on a classroom shop play corner. I have a few european languages already, but i would also like south asian / east asian / middle eastern / african examples if possible.

Thanks very much

Quebec French : Magasin or boutique (although the second one is also used in France, I believe).

There are many alternatives in Arabic. As I don't get the context the word will be used in, I'll just give you the three words I know:
محل
دكان
حانوت

PS: I am new here. Should I give the transliteration of these words?
