could someone help with some french to english please

Post by dixonmij »

I am not sure of the meaning of the following

Nothing interesting.. really.

May I ask you what do you want this for? Is it for school?

Here is a quick translation that will help you understand, I hope :)

Jacques Chirac defined the presidential ambitions on Sunday 14 November during a debate with young people in Marseille, but he eluded the questions about his possible candidature for a 3rd mandate in 2007. He took the occasion to say the opposite of minister for Economics affairs, Nicolas Sarkozy*, without naming him, about the concept of affirmative action and about the law from 1905 which established the separation of State and Church

* He's now minister of the Interior (I found this translation on wikipedia, but can we really say that?)

from dictionary: (UK) Home Secretary (head of Home Department)
