thank you, but there aren't any step or maybe it's my fault. I'm not so much familiar with that kind of thing.
would be so kind to explain me what should I do? where do I have to pick up images and all that?

It's very easy: choose an image (on internet, a photo of yours, etc.), download it or copy its url then click the Profile link (on top of the page).
At the bottom of the page, fill the Send avatar from your PC (if you've downloaded your avatar on your PC) or Send avatar from url (if you've copied its url).

Edit your profile again, to see if the image you chose appears or not (I guess it doesn't).
In that case, try again, and check if there is any error message (especially if you try to use a personal picture, check that it conforms to the requirements - it should not be too big). If there is an error message, and you don't understand what it's about, just post a message again, and we'll try to give you more specific help

laura when the problem is solved your avatar will appear on all your old messages, so please don't post new topics everywhere just to check it out, because I have to spend time deleting them. You can test in this topic, if you need, but don't post new ones just for testing.

Now just locate the image I sent back to you and upload it, it shouldn't be that difficult.

Please verify that your avatar doesn't exceed the max file size of 16Kb


Here an example from "php errors log":
