english to swahili translation

Post by calichandra »

Hi, I am a nursing student working with a Rwandan refugee family living in America. I am trying to convey to them the importance of taking antibiotics correctly. If anyone could translate the following, it would be immensly helpful to me and the family. The material was written by me and is not copyrighted.
Thank you! Chandra

Antibiotics are very powerful medication and must be used correctly. Taking antibiotics incorrectly can cause an illness that cannot be cured.

Parents should ensure that their children take all the medication as prescribed, even if they feel better. If treatment stops too soon, some bacteria may survive and the child will get sick again.

Have the child take the antibiotics exactly as the doctor tells you. Do not skip doses. Complete the prescribed course of treatment, even if they feel better.

Do not save any antibiotics for the next time someone gets sick. Discard any leftover medication.

Do not take antibiotics prescribed for someone else. The antibiotic may not be appropriate for your illness. Taking the wrong medicine may delay correct treatment and allow bacteria to multiply.
