hELP WITH WITH GRAMMER WITH A PHRASE INTO FINNISH??

Post by LHannula »

I DO NOT SPEAK FINNISH. BUT MY FATHER DID AS A CHILD AND I AM LOOKING TO DO SOMETHING TO HONOR HIM SINCE HE PASSED AWAY IN JANUARY ....I KNOW HOW TO SAY I LOVE YOU. AND I KNOW THE WORD FOR FATHER. BUT I WANT TO MAKE SURE I HAVE THE CORRECT GRAMMER TO SAY "I LOVE YOU DAD!"

Please, don not write in capital letters. It looks like you're screaming and it hurts eyes.

Thanks. ;)

Thank you so much for your help. And sorry about the capitals didn't mean to appear as if I was screaming I was just a bit anxious to find the answer.
I've studied Latin, Ancient Greek and Spanish and figured the whole thing would be more confusing than it is. Perhaps I should try to learn Finnish next!!

Hi LHannula
I talked to a Finn some days ago, and she said that she would say it like this: Isä! Minä rakastan sinua!
Cheers
