Pau-Swansea:Cymraeg(Welsh) to Gascon Gascon to Cymraeg

Post by adishatz-hêlo »

Pau , the town where I am living is twinned with Swansea/Abertawe (Wales/Cymru).
I would like to have an exchange with a welsh speaking person to learn a little bit of Welsh/Cymraeg and give, in exchange, some sentences in gascon language (our local romance dialect besides French).

Gascon to Cymraeg

Bon dia = Bore da!

Bon vrèspe = Prynhawn da!
Bona vesprada

Bona nuèit = Nos da!

Jo, qu'aprèni lo Gallès=Rydw i'n dysgu Cymraeg

Mercés
Que'vs arremercii
Que'vs arregracii = Diolch

Some elements of Bearnese and Gascon language:

http://www.lebearn.net/page7.bearnais.html

http://www.pernoste.com/gl.php

Not very difficult if you've got some notions of both Spanish and French.
