Jean Claude Laréchel is the director of program called customer focus. According to him and many books, it’s very important because it’s permets the success of the firm. The concept that the costumer focus is the only person qualified to specify what quality means.
But Jean Claude Laréchel thinks that companies make the commun mistake. They believe of practising the customer focus while it’s not the case !
For customer focus, the director of the company is essential element. For example, the firm IBM is a very good model. In the ninetyfor, the manager left the company. There was a loss of the corporate culture and thus customer focus. And terefore , the turnover decreased.
But with the new director, its results were able to increase thanks to the customer focus.
Furthermore, customer orientation can also showed customer justice. The company Johnson & Johnson corresponds perfectly. It’s a pharmaceutical business which is the richest in the world. But there were an incident. A w<oman died because of a poisoned medecine. The company centred on the customer focus had a good reaction. It informed all customer of the danger. Johnson & Johnson spent a two hundred and fifty million dollars. It put the consumer on the center of the business.
Finally , the listening explains us the role of the marketing department. It is not to create needs but the marketing permets for discovering needs and expectations of the consumers.
But, it’s technical which is costly. For example, databases are expensives to collect and analyse.
