Bo pen Gnan Aye
A rough translation of this Lao phrase in French or English would be much appreciated.

Hi there,

"Bo pen niang" (whatever you spell it) means you're welcome, no problem, it's OK, it doesn't matter, etc.

"Aye" is a term of address to a man older than you (not an old man though).
