Irish Gaelic translation

I'm writing a story with some Gaelic words in it, could anyone help? I need 'general' translated into gaelic and i'm pretty sure 'rince' means dance, is that right? thanks heaps

Normally, the word Gaelic, when used alone, means Scottish Gaelic. Is that what you mean, or would you like Irish words? In English, the Irish language is called Irish, seldom Irish Gaelic, but never "Gaelic", ok?

Rince means dance in irish.
General (as in the army) is ginearál in Irish.
