Bună ziua => I know that in French it is normal that friends should say "Bonjour" to each other. Yet, the Romanian equivalent "Bună ziua" is bloody formal. You can say "Bună dimineaţa / seara" or "Noapte bună" to your friends, but "Bună ziua" is only used in very formal situations. "Salut" is always used between friends. I suppose that Sonia is some sort of a friend of yours, right? In case she is a business partner or your boss, then keep "Bună ziua"
I don't know where from you took that thing with the
aniversările, but forget it!
Azi este ziua ta = It is your birthday today.
Azi se sărbătoreşte aniversarea ta = Your birthday is being celebrated today. This is another thing... Just cut the "anivesare" out!
It may be "
to do one's best" in English, but that doesn't work in Romanian. The normal translation would be "a face tot ce-i stă în putinţă" - but that is a bit too strong here. "A face tot posibilul" is in my opinion the best possible choice in this context. You also placed a "
pentru" between this frase and "să", which I have removed. Never use
pentru before
să. They are just incompatible. "Să" is just enough...
"to wish smth to smb" (I think it's called "souhaiter" in French, or something like this) is in Romanian:
"
a dori ceva cuiva" - that is kind of passive, you just wish it inside yourself, without expressing it; or
"
a ura ceva cuiva" - that is active, you express your wish. Use this one here.
"La Mulţi Ani!" - with capitals and the "!" at the end. It's a matter of tradition. All wishes are spelled with capitals and "!". "Crăciun Fericit!" "Paşte Fericit!" etc etc
I don't know the story with
Sandra-the-pig, but:
1. There is no such word as "porca". The feminine of "porc" is "scroafă", just as in English: pig - swain...
2. Calling a female "scroafă" is extremely
offensive!!!! If Sandra is a female, do not use "scroafă", but the exact formulation that your Romanian friend has used about her. If Sandra is a cartoon character, than "Sandra scroafa" is OK.

1. Pay attention to the demonstratives. The feminine is "această"...
