what is the French term for a pod of dolphins? Thank you!

My guess would be "un troupeau de dauphins".

But I'm not really very French. I would await sounder advice.

I'd say "groupe de dauphins" ("troupeau" would be for cows, goats, ...).

"Banc" is for fish, I think, and dolphins aren't fishes.

I've seen a TV report about dolphins a few days ago (in NZ by a german guy), I think they used the word "groupe".

I agree with kokoyaya. "Banc" is only for fishes like tuna. But I'm not sure of the word they use for dolphins. It may certainly be "groupe"
