My guess would be "un troupeau de dauphins".

But I'm not really very French. I would await sounder advice. :)

I'd say "groupe de dauphins" ("troupeau" would be for cows, goats, ...).

"Banc" is for fish, I think, and dolphins aren't fishes.

I've seen a TV report about dolphins a few days ago (in NZ by a german guy), I think they used the word "groupe".

I agree with kokoyaya. "Banc" is only for fishes like tuna. But I'm not sure of the word they use for dolphins. It may certainly be "groupe"
J'ai pas trouvé de nouvelle signature pour l'instant mais ça va venir.
