sg. = gardinum (neutral)
pl. = gardina
or :
sg. = gardinus (masculine)
pl. = gardini

Anyway : the real classical latin word is hortus. Like in the word horticulture (fr. and english) and o horto in portuguese ; isn't it, Pc2

Re: gardens
yes, that's right, but the word for hortus in portuguese is feminine: horta.Sisyphe wrote:and o horto in portuguese ; isn't it, Pc2.
we have found that medieval latin word using the William Whitaker WORDS dictionary. it's a very good Latin dictionary, the lastest version (1.97E) has 37000 words in Classical Latin, Medieval Latin and "modern" LatinSisyphe wrote:Where did you find them?
you can find it here: http://www.erols.com/whitaker/words.htm
