Post by marcel »

bonjour
j'ai un exercice en anglais sur la conjugaison des verbes dans les phrases suivantes :
In those days, she likes going out to the movies once a week.
It was raining when we visited them that day. So, they lent us an umbrella.
They never go on holiday to the same place twice.
She was the most successful athlete in her group.le superlatif est-il bien ?
Your parents are more open-minded than mine.
I'm good at physics but he is better at maths.
MERCI DE ME DIRE SI J'AI FAIT DES ERREURS; MARCEL

Hello!

In those days, she used to like going out to the movies once a week.
It was raining when we visited them that day. So, they lent us an umbrella. - Very good.
They never go on holiday to the same place twice. - Very good.
She was the most successful athlete in her group.le superlatif est-il bien ? - Very good.
Your parents are more open-minded than mine. - Very good
I'm good at physics but he is better at maths. What is the problem here? What are you comparing?

Also consider: I'm good at physics but I am better at maths
or: I'm better at physics but he is better at maths.

I think there must be either a comparison, or an oposition...

Anyway, I may be wrong here...

Je dirais plutot 'She liked to go out to the movies...' si on considère la phrase originale 'She likes going out to the movies...'

Yeah, that's good, of course...
Now that I read your sentence, I really think it sounds better than mine. ;)
