A Prety simple(hopefully) English to Latin
Trying to come up with a guild name and looking at trying to use Shield of the Republic. I have no idea what I'm doing with it but I have found Aegis Res Publica but I'm not sure if that's even close to the right translation. Any help is appreciated

you have many possibilities to translate "shield". Aegis is possible (but quite rare), an other form is "scutum". But one point is sure : in order to translate the "of the republic", the second part of your expression must look like this, : rei publicae. You must also know that "res publicae" means much more, in latin, than only "republic" (also the State, and so on ; but it also means republic).
So I suggest :
scutum rei publicae
So I suggest :
scutum rei publicae
