Occitan

Hello,

I'm doing some research on my surname: Thoré.

Although I'm not sure, I think it might come from the Occitan language. In South-West France, there's a valley called "la Vallée du Thoré". This name comes from Occitan "valtoret". "val" means "valley". But what does "toret" mean?

Toret could be "little tower" in Occitan.
