Post by tuxi »

Please,
I'm a music children's teacher and I'm trying to translate a short childrens song in so many languages as possible

Thank you very much!

Song:

Good morning
Tell me how you are? good/bad
And your friends tell me how they are?
we will be very good friends

Hello,
if you know the IPA, an approximate transcription is under the texts, adapted as far as I could at English language (because we can't write the correct caracters on a discussion board):

French:

Bonjour
[bõƷur]
Dis-moi, comment vas-tu ? Bien ou pas ?
[dimwakomέvatybjέupa]
Et tes amis, dis-moi, comment vont-ils ?
[etezamidimwakomέvõtil]
Nous serons de très bons amis
[nusərõdətrεbõzami]

German:

Guten Tag
[gut∆ntak]
Sag mal, wie geht's dir? gut oder schlecht?
[zagmalvigεtsdirgutod∆rsçlε∫t]
Und deinen Freunde, sag mal, wie geht´s ihnen?
[untdαjn∆nfrəndəzagmalvigεtsin∆n]
Wir werden dicke Freunde sein
[virvεrd∆ndikəfrəndəzαjn]

(Thanks to ElieDeLeuze for the correction :) )

Spanish:

Buenos diás,
[bµenos diαs]
Dime, ¿qué tal? ¿bien o mal?
[dimeketalbjεnomal]
Y tus amigos, dime, ¿qué tal?
[itusamigosdimeketal]
Seremos muy buen' amigos
[seremosmµibjuεnamigos]

(please note that some things should be confirmed by other best Spanish locutors)

Chinese (I don't write the ideograms as I think you won't have to use it, but if you need it, so feel free to ask it):

zăo'ān!
[dzaoαn]
(nĭ ) shuō ba, nĭ hăo ma? hăo-bú-hăo?
[(ni)∫uopαnixaomaxaopuxao]
nà, nĭ péng-yŏu, tā-men hăo ma?
[nαnip'ε~yot'αmεnxaoma]
yăo wŏ-men shi hăo péng-yŏu(-men)
[jaowomεn∫œxaop'ε~yo(mεn)]

(... with the same remark as for Spanish, some small mistakes may have happened, as I just begin in these languages, but don't worry, there should be another Chinese speaker soon!)

Note to the IPA experts: ~ make the previous sound nazalized

Καλημέρα (kalimera)
Λέγε μου τι κανείς; καλά ή κακό (laygay moo tee kaynis? kala e kako)
Και οι φίλοι σου, λέγε μου τι κανούν; (kay feelee soo, laygay moo tee kanoon)
Θα είμαστε καλοί φίλοι (fa e ma stay kalee feelee)

Pronounce isolate letter as you do when you say the alphabet...
It's quite difficult to express greek into english transcription.

If I have time, I will record the pronounciation...

For Afrikaans I propose:

Goeiemôre
Sê my hoe dit gaan met julle? Goed of sleg?
En julle vrienden, sê my hoe dit gaan met hulle?
Ons gaan baie goed vrienden weet

I'm not 100% sure of its accuracy

But the right answer is δεν είμαι καλά
Caroline, what do you think about it???
