Post by laura »

Hi to everybody,
would you please correct this phrase?

The Agency will submit to candidates specific professional and attitudinal tests

Thanks a lot! :hello:

je ne sais pas si 'submit' est le bon mot. Tu veux dire que 'l'agence fera passer aux candidats'? Dans ce cas, on dirait 'The agency will ask students to undergo...' Ou est-ce que le sens physique de 'transmettre'?

Define "professional" tests and especially "attitudinal" tests, please?

You may be speaking of "skills" tests (tests of academic or professional skill) and "psychological [examinations]" (tests that are meant to examine a person's mental state).

thanks Anthos!!!

I chose "administer", instead of "submit". I've been checking out for a similar term and found, in different sites on temporary agencies and temporary jobs, phrases that described their activity by using "administer" in such a context.

Bye, bye

Usually we say organizations "administer" tests, yes. That's a good choice.
