My fiancé and I, both of us of French nationality and living in France, are planning to get married while visiting Austin this autumn.
Nous prevoyons to apply for a marriage license at the Travis County Clerk Office on Monday, October 29th.

Your Honor:
I am writing to you on the advice of the Travis County Clerk Office. My fiance and I, both of French nationality and living in French, are planning to get married while visiting Austin this autumn. We intend to apply for a marriage license at the Travis County Clerk Office on Monday, October 29th. French law requires the presence of witnesses at the ceremony, and their listing on the marriage certificate, in order to validate the marriage when we return to France. A pair of French friends will accompany us to Austin for this purpose. Taking into consideration the required 72 hour waiting period after applying for the license, and the fact that our friends will leave Austin on Sunday, November 4th, the ideal date for the ceremony would be Friday, November 2nd. Will it be possible for you to celebrate our marriage on this day?
Thank you in advance for your response.
Je vous prie de croire, etc…. (?)
