Latin ?

I am looking for the correct way to say

" Love is what remains, after being in love has faded away "

...in Latin.

Could someone please help me ?

amor est quid manet postquam amores desunt :love:

I "know" better Latin than English, however, it means that the general love remains when the ardour of loving went away". is that ok ?
"amor" is the singular, but "amores", in the plural form also meens the "big ardour induced by the fact of loving".
